Use a Pipe Grabber™ to label pipes that are rusty, greasy, or have unlagged insulation. Pipe Grabbers provide a clean surface to which pipe labels can be applied. Pipe Grabbers are also excellent for labeling difficult-to-reach pipes and for temporary pipe labeling.

A Pipe Grabber is a clear plastic sleeve that fits around a pipe. The label is first applied to the Pipe Grabber, then the Pipe Grabber is snapped into place on the pipe. A unique design allows the Pipe Grabber to cling tightly even to oily surfaces. Pipe Grabbers are reusable, making it easy to change labels for temporary piping or when the contents of a pipe change.

Pipe Grabber pipe marking sleeves are available in the following sizes:

• 1 in. x 9 in. – Fits pipe diameters 1.0 to 1.5 inches
• 1.5 in. x 9 in. – Fits pipe diameters 1.5 to 2.3 inches
• 2.0 in. x 12 in. – Fits pipe diameters 2.0 to 3.0 inches
• 3.0 in. x 12 in. – Fits pipe diameters 3.0 to 4.0 inches
• 4.0 in. x 18 in. – Fits pipe diameters 4.0 to 5.2 inches

Valves, actuators, and transmitters seldom have surfaces on which a label can be applied. Instead, valve tags are used to provide a flat surface for the label. The plastic tag is then attached to the valve using a plastic or metal tie.

We offer valve tags in seven colors and two sizes: 2.25" x 3.75" and 3.375" x 4.75". Available colors include white, yellow, red, green, orange, blue, and black. Our valve tags may be used with most label printers, however we recommend the DuraLabel Pro for making valve tags and pipe markers.

DuraTag flexible tag stock allows you to create custom-sized tags with virtually any combination of text and graphics. Tough, heavy-duty DuraTag stock can withstand tremendous abuse, and is resistant to UV, water, chemicals, and temperature extremes, making it ideal for use in harsh environments. Tear-resistant materials mean that no grommets are needed; simply punch a hole in the tag and hang it using a metal or plastic tie.

DuraTag stock comes in 100' rolls with a width of either 3" or 4". Available in white, yellow, red, green, orange, and light blue.

We carry a wide range of Brady pre-printed pipe markers with a variety of sizes, styles, materials, and legends. Unless otherwise specified, all preprinted labels are made of industrial-grade indoor/outdoor vinyl. Over 25 stock legends are available, or order a custom legend.

Some of our most popular pipe marker styles include:

• Self-sticking pipe markers—Ideal for both indoor and outdoor environments, these adhesive-backed vinyl pipe markers (shown above) meet ANSI/ASME A13.1 design requirements.
• Snap-On™ pipe markers—Coiled plastic Snap-On pipe markers are lightweight and durable, and provide 360° visibility. They may be applied to dirty, oily, greasy or rough surfaces, and install quickly and easily. Ideal for indoor or outdoor use. Snap-On pipe markers fit pipes that have an outside diameter between 3/4" and 6".
• Strap-On pipe markers—Designed for use on pipes with a diameter of 6" or greater, Strap-On pipe markers are a flat sheet with straps to grip even dirty or oily pipes. Suitable for indoor/outdoor use.
• Porcelain Enamel pipe markers—For high temperature applications, custom porcelain enamel pipe markers combine the hardness of glass with the strength and rigidity of steel. These pipe markers are unaffected by UV light, temperatures to 1000°F, exposure to acids (except hydrofluoric), cold or mildly warm alkalis, salt air, and organic chemicals and solvents. Colors, text and graphics are permanently locked in and protected from environmental damage.
• Roll-form pipe markers—Roll-form pipe markers wrap around the pipe and adhere to themselves. They eliminate the need for precise measurement of pipe diameter--simply cut to the size you need from the 30' long roll. Label material adheres to itself for easy wrap-around marker installation.
• High-Performance Pipe Markers—High-Performance pipe markers are pre-coiled for easy wrap-around installation on pipe up to 7-7/8" in diameter. PVF overlaminate polyester construction seals in and protects graphics. Markers resist abrasion, chemicals, high humidity, and outdoor weathering. Also available as high visibility (HPHV) strap-on pipe markers for pipes 8" and larger in diameter.

In addition to the general-purpose pipe markers listed above, we stock pre-printed pipe markers custom-designed for a number of special applications:

• IIAR-compliant Ammonia Pipe Markers—The self-sticking pipe markers shown at right satisfy the requirements of the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) bulletin #114, "Guidelines for Identification of Ammonia Refrigeration Piping and System Components."
• Refrigerant-identification labels—We carry ARI Guideline N-compliant self-adhesive refrigerant identification labels that eliminate confusion and problems caused by charging a system with the wrong refrigerant.
• Semiconductor and Chemical Pipe Markers—Designed specifically for the needs of the semiconductor industry, these pipe markers are designed for use on small diameter piping or tubing (3/4" or less). These labels are made from self-sticking vinyl with permanent adhesive. They meet ASME A13.1 color specifications. Over 65 stock legends are available.

• Cable markers—Identify your fiber optic and coaxial cables using snap-on cable markers. Pipe markers are available for cable diameters from 3/8" to 5/8". Can be used on dusty, dirty, oily or scaly surfaces.
